In New Jersey, the new sportsbook at Meadowlands Racetrack is reportedly proving popular after it took almost $3.5 million in wagers during its first nine days including in excess of $650,000 on Saturday.

According to a Monday report from the Associated Press news service cited by local television broadcaster, WNYT-TV, the new sportsbetting operation is being run in partnership with American daily fantasy sports firm, FanDuel Incorporated, which was recently acquired by Dublin-based bookmaker Paddy Power Betfair, and went live from July 14.

The official 2019/2020 National Football League (NFL) season has begun and sports betting is on the rise as a result. With the new and existing legalization of online sports betting in several states, the wagers have spiked according to betting companies like DraftKings and FanDuel.

After having received the second and final full scale casino license for Philadelphia from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on November 18, 2014, the Philadelphia Planning Commission today approved the proposed master project plan for the facility to be known as Live!
